Podcast Content Repurposing Workflow

A practical workflow for turning one podcast episode into show notes, social posts, a newsletter, and follow-up content.

Start with one reliable source

Use the cleaned episode transcript as the source for every derivative asset. A single source prevents names, claims, and calls to action from drifting between channels.

Before creating anything, mark the episode’s central promise, three strongest insights, memorable quotes, and the one action you want the audience to take.

Create assets in dependency order

Write the long-form show notes first. Then adapt that material into a newsletter section, two LinkedIn posts, an X thread, short captions, and guest follow-up copy.

This order saves time because each shorter asset can inherit the structure and facts already checked in the longer version.

Build a seven-day distribution rhythm

Publish the episode and show notes on day one. Share the strongest insight on day two, a clip on day three, a newsletter on day four, and a second angle or unanswered question later in the week.

Track which hooks produce replies, saves, clicks, and listens. Reuse winning structures instead of inventing a new distribution system for every episode.
